Joyful?

Another Sunday, another question.

I like questions. I am sure I have said it here before. I like questions because they open the possibility to answers. As I have also certainly said here, I by NO means have the answers to everything. I see value in asking questions. I also see the church as a place where there are answers. Not to every question, more’s the pity, but to at least some. I looked up some dictionary definitions of the word “joy” and was immediately reminded of my theology professor’s axiom that the worst place to look up theologically significant words is a dictionary. So, I decided to make up my own definition this morning.

Joy: anticipated gladness. I like that one quite a lot, even though it is mine . . . I think. Give the whole thing a listen and let me know what you think. Do I have an idea of joy? What might I have missed?
