For those of you who faithfully listen every week and are wondering what is going on, I have an explanation.
The elders graciously granted me this Sunday, December 25, 2022. Christmas Day, off as a) many people in both congregations would be gone; and, b) it is very important to them that my family does not suffer unduly due to my being away every Sunday.
I am extremely grateful for the godly and generous people who serve St. Mark’s and Knox Presbyterian churches as elders. I was glad to accept this day off. As it turns out, Highway #1 was closed from Belle Plaine to Moose Jaw and Highway #39 was closed from Milestone to Highway #1 . . . which means I could not have gone to either congregation regardless.
So there are no sermons this week. However, if in the future, you would like me to at least make some remarks about the texts for any Sunday I am away from the pulpit but still able to make such remarks, please let me know. I would be happy to do so.
I hope your Christmas was Merry and your celebrations of Jesus’ birth were enjoyable and life-giving.
With much love,
