What do you think of Mr. Rogers?

I was at work and followed a link during one of my down times. The link was to a Huffington Post article by Eliot Daley, a pastor and author who worked with Fred Rogers in the early days of Mister Rogers Neighborhood [sic].

As I read it, and I strongly urge you to read it as well (the link is below), it is quite short, I was struck by the profundity of Fred Rogers’ practice of his faith. He brought it into every interaction whether it was with the children who viewed his show, his friends and family or anyone he came across.

There is much to think about in this short read and I found quite a bit of challenge in it for me too.

Enjoy.

There aren’t that many liturgically significant days attached to the calendar, Christmas Day and All Saints Day are the only two leaping to mind at the moment.
