There are always things curious people want to know. The most curious of people, namely toddlers, reportedly can ask up to 400 questions a day . . . this comes as no surprise to anyone who has cared for a toddler. Those of us who are no longer toddlers may not have as many questions but we still have questions.
Last Sunday I applied the question of “How do we know?” to John’s first letter and this Sunday it changed slightly to “How else do we know?” This time around I was looking at answering, “How can we know we love people other than literally laying down our life for them?” The good news we can know this. The bad news is we can go overboard with it. The sermon covers several things, including how to let the Holy Spirit help us choose what it is we should do in the actual moment we have.
I hope you find some help in the words.
