Words From the Middle

At the intersection of Sacred and Profane

2021/05/09

How do we know about ourselves?

It is a rare person who never doubts what they know about themselves. We all need reassurance in something at some time. We might need to be reminded we are good parent/sibling/child/. . . . We know these things but we don’t feel them at the moment.

It is common for people who are in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit to wonder about it now and then. This is not only the province of the young although it may strike there more frequently. So what do we do about it? We can always sit and stew, we do that pretty well or we go to community and Scripture for reassurance.

This week’s sermon covers at least part of this. Let me know what you think.
