Words From the Middle

At the intersection of Sacred and Profane

2023/04/02

It’s a puzzle

There are many puzzles in our lives going from the entertaining kind, jigsaw puzzles for example to the more important ones. Important is a very flexible word and a subjective one at that. For some, an important puzzle is why does toast fall butter side down? For others, it is how Ensteinian physics can be reconciled to the multi-verse and string theory.

One of my puzzles is what to do with this week. Palm/Passion Sunday kicks off Holy Week which begins with Palms moves to Passion and ends with Resurrection; how do these all work together? I wish I had an easy answer for you but I don’t. This puzzle is one which I simply can’t solve.

Give the sermon a listen and let me know if you think I gave up too easily or if I’m actually on to something here.

There is only one sermon this week as we had a joint service. The people from St. Mark’s in Moose Jaw came out to Briercrest to be hosted by the people of Knox.
