Who would be so bold as to take up valuable preaching time with such a peculiar question as this one: Who knows what God can do? Well, as it turns out, me. I don’t know that I would call it boldness but rather a response to the texts. It took me quite a bit of the week to finally nail down what I thought I needed to talk about but in the end, I think it was well worth it.
The bottom line is, of course, that we do know what God can do, even if we don’t always appreciate our own knowledge. I wanted us to think about the difference between the two ways of pronouncing that question. It is hard to put it on the screen but what is the difference between:
Who knows what God can do?
and
Who know what God can do?
If I didn’t draw the distinction sufficiently well then you’ll have to listen and hear how it is supposed to sound.
