What’s the Trinity all about?

Needless to say I am not got to tell you what the Trinity is ALL about because that is really, very much, beyond any human person. The sermon title is “What’s it all about?” and is referencing Trinity Sunday rather than the Trinity in its entirety.

The Trinity, much like “eternity,” is fundamentally beyond us and as such no one will ever be able to sum it up. It is a mystery, in the technical theological sense of the word, and will remain one for human beings. Does this mean the Trinity and its doctrine is so abstruse it is relegated to specialists? No. In fact, a very definite NO.

We have much to gain from discussing and thinking about the Trinity and this Sunday I focused on what the Trinity teaches us about relationship and relationships.
