Date: April 29, 2012

RCL Scripture: Psalm 23; Acts 4:5-12; 1 John 3:16-24; John 10:11-18

Sermon Title: Do we believe in the shepherd?

St. Mark’s Presbyterian [audio:https://wordsfromthemiddle.ca/wp-content/uploads/120429_-_St_Marks.mp3|titles=Do we believe in the shepherd?]

You are not missing something, there is only one sermon this week. The Presbyterian youth of Saskatchewan took the service at Knox Presbyterian this morning so I was only responsible for the one service. It was quite a different feeling all in all. The difference was only on Sunday morning, there was virtually no difference in the preparation; last week felt pretty much the same as every other week.

I hope the sermon gets across the difference between simple (or even simplistic) belief in the existence of an historical Jesus and what does it mean to “believe in” Jesus, the shepherd.

I trust the remainder of your Easter season will be a blessing to you in every way.

Warmly,
